About

LimousinLive.com is a website dedicated to providing Limousin cattle enthusiasts with the latest news and information about the breed. The idea is simple: bring together people interested in Limousin genetics.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a commercial cow-calf rancher from the Sand Hills of Nebraska, a seedstock producer from Tennessee, a feedlot operator from Texas, or a junior exhibitor from Minnesota. LimousinLive can be your source for all things Limousin.

The site is owned and managed by Andrew “Andy” Peterson, president of LIVEstock New Media Communications, LLC.

Born and weaned on registered Limousin cattle, Andy has been around the cattle industry his entire life. The son of Wayne and Christine Peterson, Andy learned how to treat a newborn calf, clip a steer, artificially inseminate a cow, and collect carcass yield grades on his family’s farm: Peterson Limousin Farms. Growing up, Andy was blessed with the opportunity to exhibit his family’s seedstock on the local, state, and national level.

Andy graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he studied Animal Science and Agricultural Journalism. As a Badger, he was active in the Saddle and Sirloin club (Block and Bridle), Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity – Iota Chapter, and the National Agri-Marketing Association.

Andy currently is a contributing editor to Working Ranch Magazine and author of “Ranch Wheels” a section that covers the latest in equipment and technology for cow-calf ranchers.
