Bullis Creek Ranch Spring Production Sale
Rob and Brenda Brawner of Bullis Creek Ranch (Wood Lake, NE) didn’t have the sale conditions they hoped for due to a nasty blizzard in April but everything went well considering the circumstances. Because of the weather, their Red Angus fall-calving dispersal had to be moved after their “Generations of Predictability 9″ bull sale on April 6th. 22 Limousin bulls and 34 Red Angus bulls were offered up at auction, with a good number of bulls sold over the internet via DV Auction. The bull sale grossed $136,880 to average $2,444. The following is a sale summary as reported by Dean and Bev Summerbell of the Heartland Limousin Association:

Top-Selling Limousin Bull:
$3,500 – BRAW Muscleman 824U (75%) – 3/1/08 a black, polled son of MAGS Cheyenne out of BRAW Miss Juneau 529R. Wes and Logan Winter of Lincoln, NE purchased one-half interest and full possession.
Bulls:
$3,200 – Braw Prize 7140T – 9/6/07 red, polled son of Wulf’s Nobel Prize out of BRAW Pld Ms Dew 0118K. Buyer: Wes and Logan Winter (Lincoln, NE).
$3,000 – BRAW Heartland 7141T – 9/6/07 red, polled son of CRSL Heartland 0201K out of BRAW Pld Ms 825J. Buyer: Martens Little Valley Ranch (Lovell, WY).
